District health & family welfare department, Dakshina kannada district AIDS control division, DK district blood bank, District wenlock hospital ,Karnataka Ayurveda Medical College, Mangalore, in association with Department of PG studies in Kayachikitsa & NSS unit organized a " District level Blood Donor’s Day & Voluntary Blood Donation Camp" on 22/6/2022 at SCS Ayurveda hospital. As a part of Blood Donation awareness programme, students & staffs of Karnataka Ayurveda Medical College & Hospital , Mangalore conducted a rally. Dr Ravi Rao S, Principal, Professor, KAMC Mangalore and Dr Bardrudin M.N gave introduction & drove to the rally.
The programme was scheduled at 10 am with the prayer by the internees at SCS Ayurveda Hospital.The programme was inaugurated by Dr Ravi Rao S, Principal, KAMC, by lighting the lamp.
Dr Kishore Kumar, District health and family welfare officer, Dr Ravi Rao, Principal, Professor, KAMC Mangalore and Dr Bardrudin M.N District TB & AIDS control officer, D.K, Dr Sharath Kumar, Medical Officer, Blood bank, District Wenlock Hospital, Mangalore, Dr. Ajith Kamath Medical Director, SCS Ayurveda Hospital , Dr Waheeda Banu, HOD and Professor, Dept of PG studies in Kayachikitsa were present on the stage.
The Master of ceremony was done by Mrs Pramila Rai, District Accountant . Welcome speech was addressed by Dr. Badrudin. M.N, District TB & AIDS control officer, DK. Chief guest address was delivered by Dr Ravi Rao S. Dr. Sharat Kumar, Medical Officer, Dakshina Kannada District Blood Bank, delivered the importance of blood donation. The presidential address was given by Mr.U.K.Khalid, A.O, SCS group of institutions, Mangalore . Dr Waheeda Banu, HOD & professor, Department of P.G studies in Kayachikitsa delivered the vote of thanks. Mr. Vijay Ullal & Mr Ronald Tony Pinto , were honoured by dignitaries for most frequent voluntary blood donation. VHP Kadri Mangalore representative Mr Deepak was honored for hosting blood donation camp for more than 9 times. It was followed by Prize distribution for the winners of Elocution competition which was conducted on 21-06-2022 at KAMC Mangalore on importance of blood donation in present scenario.

The programme was attended by all the teaching staff of KAMC, Doctors, RMO, PG students of Kayachikitsa, Internees and students of KAMC.There was voluntary blood donation from doctors, staff and students. Total 60 units of blood was collected during the camp.
