Prof. Dr. Ravi Rao S is the Principal of Karnataka Ayurveda Medical College. Prior to this he was Dean of Faculty of Indian Medical system at SGT University, Gurugram and H.O.D in the Department of Dravyaguna.
Dr. Ravi Rao S has joined Karnataka Ayurveda Medical College & Hospital as a Professor and Principal. Prior to it he was Dean of Faculty of Indian Medical system at SGT University, Gurugram and H.O.D in the Department of Dravyaguna.
Dr. Ravi Rao S has obtained his under graduation from S.D.M College of Ayurveda, Udupi and Post Graduation in Department of Dravyaguna from IPGT&RA, GAU, Jamnagara and PhD from IPGT& RA, GAU, Jamnagar.
He has guided more than 15 theses in Post Graduation department of Dravyaguna and 2 PhD Scholars and also guided for many research projects and published papers in recognized journals. He has organized many National level seminars, workshops, and CMEs.
He started his career as an Assistant Professor in Muniyal Institute of Ayurvedic Medical Sciences , Manipal Karnataka, later he worked at Gomantak Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya and Research Centre at Shiroda Goa. Joined as Associate Professor at Alva’s Ayurveda Medical College, Moodbidri, Later promoted as Professor, Dean Research and Vice Principal. During this period he delivered many Guest Lecture all over the country and also was in charge of Animal house. He was also member of IAEC of Alva’s, BOS member of GOA University and Yenapoya University.He likes to contribute more in the field of Ayurveda keeping a motto of service to the Man Kind.

Dear Students,
Very warm and Hearty greetings to all of you. I welcome all the aspiring students to join our esteemed institution for undergraduate and post graduate studies. Learning is an ongoing process since childhood. Mother is our first teacher in this world, eventually on every phase of our life we learn to excel ourselves. It requires complete involvement as well as commitment from both the teacher as well as students.
Ayurveda is a science of life & it is aimed at the preservation of health and prevention of disease by establishing balance and harmony through nutrition, herbs, meditation and daily regimen. Ayurvedic science provides knowledge to unfold the reality beyond the physical body and achieve harmony of Body, Mind and Spirit.
Karnataka Ayurveda Medical college is a renowned institute at creation and dissemination of knowledge, skill and values, fostering of a spirit in intellectual journey.
Our purpose is two-fold one, to develop the best human resource in the field of Ayurveda education, second to provide the best Ayurvedic healthcare facilities to the needy.
We have highly qualified and expencienced faculty, state of the art infrastructure of college and hospital and panchakarma centre.
Besides academic and clinical activities we are very much involved in corporate social responsibility. We organise health check-up and diagnostic camps in rural as well as urban areas serving the needy. Simultaneously our students get opportunity of community teaching through these camps. We believe in all-round development of our students, our students get opportunity to involve in research scientific as well as welfare activities.
