In continuation with the NMPB project on conservation of medicinal plants, Karnataka Ayurveda Medical College, Ashoknagar, Mangaluru-2, Department of Dravya Guna, visited Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Residential School, Ulaibettu, Mangaluru on 20-06-2025. As a part of the visit, maintenance supplies like vermicompost and cow dung manure was handed over to the school. A total of 11 plants including Edible fruit bearing plants were planted along with medicinal plants by Prof Dr Swapna Bhat, Principal, HOD, Department of Dravya Guna, Karnataka Ayurveda Medical College, Dr Sridevi, Professor, Dr Srijaya V Prabhu, Associate Professor, Dr Niyathi, Associate Professor. Medicinal plants were distributed to the staff and students of the school for planting in the pots in their herbal garden.
Dr Niyathi enlightened the students regarding the medicinal uses of the given plants.
Vice Principal of Dr. B R Ambedkar Residential School, Ulaibettu Mrs Anitha Kumari along with the teaching staff of the school helped in planting the saplings.
