On July 5th – National Doctor’s Day was celebrated at KAMC Auditorium organized by Dept. of Shalakya Tantra. Dr.Rajesh Bayari, Medical Director of Chitrakoota Ayurveda Chikitsalaya was invited as the Chief Guest.
National Doctors’ Day Celebration – Karnataka Ayurveda Medical College, Ashoknagar
On Saturday, July 5, National Doctors’ Day was celebrated at Karnataka Ayurveda Medical College, Ashoknagar, organised by Department of Shalakya Tantra.
Dr. Rajesh Bayari, Medical director, Chitrakoota Ayurveda Chikitsalaya, Aluru, Kundapura, was the chief guest. He spoke about the uniqueness of the Ayurvedic system of medicine and encouraged young doctors by saying,
“If there is determination in the mind, Ayurvedic doctors can spread their services across the world. A small example of this is the Chitrakoot Ayurveda Chikitsalaya located in a remote village.
Dr. Swapna Bhat, Principal of the college, spoke on the significance of Doctors’ Day and highlighted the growing importance of Ayurveda in today’s world.
The function was presided over by Mr. U.K. Khalid, Administrative Officer, KECT. He remarked, “Doctors play an invaluable role in building a healthy society.”
All the doctors of the college were felicitated with mementos. The Best Doctor Award was posthumously conferred on Dr. Mohan Kishore. The Best intern of the year 2025 Award was also presented on the occasion.
Dr. Uday D.K., Medical Superintendent of the hospital, Dr. Jecintha D’Souza, Vice Principal academics and Dr. Ajith Kamath vice principal administration were present at the event.
Dr. Veena Vinayak, Head of the Department of Shalakya Tantra, welcomed the chief guests. Dr. Manushree shared the achievements of the guest speaker. Dr. Abhishek delivered the vote of thanks, and Dr. Swathi Suvarna compered the program.
