Vaasantika -Vamana Karma, a camp for seasonal detoxification therapy
Karnataka Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital, Hoigebail, inaugurated the Vasantika Vamana Karma Camp, a seasonal detoxification programme organized by the Department of Panchakarma.
The camp was inaugurated by Mr. U. K. Khalid, Administrator, SCS Group. The programme was presided over by Dr. Ajith Kamath, Vice Principal, who highlighted the importance of seasonal detoxification during Vasanta Ritu for the elimination of aggravated Kapha Dosha and prevention of lifestyle disorders.
Dr. Uday Kumar D. K., Medical Superintendent; Dr. Veena Vinayak, Medical Director; and Dr. Vijayalakshmi, Deputy Medical Superintendent, graced the occasion along with other teaching faculty members.
From the Department of Panchakarma, Dr. Manjushri, Assistant Professor, compered the programme. Dr. Veena Kumari, Assistant Professor, welcomed the gathering. Dr. Rajeshwari T., Associate Professor, delivered a brief note on the procedure and explained its benefits in conditions such as hormonal imbalance, psoriasis, PCOS, seasonal allergies and other Kapha-aggravated disorders. Dr. Sudhehi V. Acharya, Assistant Professor, proposed the vote of thanks.
The camp will be conducted from March 1 to March 31 at a concessional rate. The public has been invited to participate and avail the benefits of this seasonal Panchakarma therapy.
