World Mental Health Day.

Young Indians (Yi), an integral part of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), is a movement of young leaders dedicated to nation-building. Yi works through various verticals such as Health, Education, Environment, and Youth Leadership, focusing on creating meaningful social impact.
Health Vertical and Mental Health Focus:
Mental health is a key component of the Health Vertical of Yi. With increasing stress, academic pressure, and lifestyle challenges among students, addressing mental health has become a priority area. Through this vertical, Yi aims to promote awareness, reduce stigma, and encourage preventive and supportive approaches toward mental well-being.
Yuva as a Health Stakeholder:
College students (Yuva) are not just beneficiaries but active stakeholders in mental health. They play a vital role in influencing peer behavior, building supportive environments, and driving conversations that normalize mental health discussions within campuses.
About the Proposed Program:
The Mental Health Round Table will be an interactive session featuring a panel of experts—including mental health professionals, academicians, and youth representatives—who will engage in a structured discussion on mental health issues relevant to students. The format will promote dialogue, exchange of ideas, and active audience participation.
Objectives of the Program:
To create awareness about mental health among students
To highlight mental health as a priority under Yi’s Health Vertical
To empower Yuva as stakeholders in mental health advocacy
To break stigma and encourage open conversations
To promote early recognition and healthy coping strategies
Benefits to Students (Yuva):
Improved understanding of mental health and emotional well-being
Interaction with experts and exposure to diverse perspectives
Development of coping mechanisms and resilience
Encouragement to seek help and support peers
Creation of a safe and inclusive space for discussion
