As part of 10 TH National Ayurveda Day,the Department of Shalya tantra, Karnataka Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital, Ashoka Nagar, in collaboration with the Department of Ayush,Dakshina kannada and Medilab India, organized a Free bone mineral density camp at District AYUSH Hospital Wenlock campus on September 18 from 9:30am-2:00pm. The chief guest of the inaugural program Dr. Iqbal, Chief Medical Officer of the District AYUSH Hospital, who inaugurated the camp and informed about the importance of bone density screening in today. Dr. Zahid Hussain, Medical Superintendent of the District AYUSH Hospital, and Dr. Ajith, Dr. Basavaraj, Dr. Yashvita, Dr. Prakash, Dr. Hemavani were present. Karnataka Ayurveda College Medical Superintendent and Head of the Department of Surgery Dr. Udaya D. K welcomed the gathering. Dr. Shobharani, from District Ayush Hospital, proposed the vote of thanks. Professors of the Department of Shalya tantra Dr. Abhinethri and Dr. Meera, Dr. Rashmi were present. The camp was conducted in collaboration with Medilab and a total of 108 patients were screened for bone density.
