In continuation with the NMPB project on conservation of medicinal plants, Karnataka Ayurveda Medical College, Ashoknagar, Mangaluru-2, Department of Dravya Guna, visited Morarji Desai Residential School and PU College, Kemmaje on 18-06-2025. As a part of the visit, maintenance supplies like vermicompost and cow dung manure was handed over to the school. A total of 16 plants including Edible fruit bearing plants like Rambutan etc were planted along with medicinal plants by Dr. Swapna Bhat, Principal, Professor & HOD, Department of Dravya Guna, Karnataka Ayurveda Medical College, Mangaluru, Dr. Sridevi, Professor, Dr. Srijaya V Prabhu, Associate Professor and Dr. Niyathi, Associate Professor. Medicinal plants were distributed to the staff and students of the school for planting in their herbal garden.
Dr. Srijaya V Prabhu enlightened the students regarding the medicinal uses of the given plants.
