The third day of the Internship Orientation Program “Shishiksha 2025” began with an enlightening session by Dr. Sahana M, Associate Professor, Department of Kayachikitsa, on the topic “Bridging Knowledge to Clinical Practice.” She emphasized the importance of integrating theoretical knowledge with practical clinical application and shared valuable guidance for effective patient care.
The second session was conducted by Dr. Krithi N. K, who focused on documentation, record maintenance, and clinical case presentation skills, stressing their significance in cultivating professionalism and accountability during internship training.
The third session was handled by Dr. Manushree M. M, Assistant Professor, Department of Shalakya Tantra, who discussed OPD and IPD case handling and various clinical aspects related to Shalakya Tantra, providing practical insights into patient management.
The afternoon session featured two informative talks — Dr. Raghavendra Rao, Professor and Head, Department of Swasthavritta, delivered an insightful lecture on biomedical waste management, hospital infection control, and patient safety goals; followed by Dr. Swapna Bhat, Professor and Head, Department of Dravyaguna, who spoke on the Drugs and Magic Remedies (Objectionable Advertisements) Act, highlighting its relevance in ethical medical practice.
Interns participated enthusiastically throughout the day, gaining valuable insights from each session. The day concluded successfully, leaving the participants more confident, informed, and inspired to embark on their professional journey.
