Shishyopanayana Samskara – “Vidhyarambha” of the 22nd batch Undergraduates and 10th batch Postgraduates of the Esteemed College was held on 6th April 2024. As a part of this, Dhanwantari Homa began at 7am in the morning to mark the auspicious beginning of the day. During which, Students were engaged in Shloka Parayana and Bhajan’s, which were co-ordinated by Dr. Ashwini and Dr. Shruthi Bhat respectively. Dr. Lakshminarayana Shenoy, Chief guest of the formal function, Dr. Rajneesh Sorake, President SCS Group of Institutions, Dr. Ravi Rao, Principal Karnataka Ayurveda Medical College, Dr.Ajith Kamath, Medical Director, SCS Ayurveda Hospital and all the Teaching Staffs, UG Students and PG Scholar’s were present during the Dhanvantari Homa. This was followed by Formal function. Dr. Lakshminarayana Shenoy, Assistant Director, Government Ayurveda Research Centre, Mysore was the Chief guest of the programme. The session was presided by Kabbinale Balakrishna Bharadwaj, Principal SCS 1st Grade College, Mangalore. Dr. Ajith Kamath, Medical Director, SCS Ayurveda Hospital welcomed the gathering. Lighting the lamp by the dignitaries was followed by Maharshi Charaka Shapatha. Dr. Ravi Rao S, Principal, Karnataka Ayurveda Medical College, did the honour. This was followed by felicitation to the Chief Guest. Dr. Pooja Rani, Associate Professor, Department of Shareera Rachana proposed the Vote of thanks. Dr. Pooja Rani and Dr. Mithun were the programme co-ordinators. Dr.Deenamanju Shetty was the Master of the Ceremony.
