World Mental Health Day Awareness Program was conducted by the Department of PG Studies in Kayachikitsa, Karnataka Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital, on 30th October from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at the KAMC Auditorium.
The theme for World Mental Health Day was “Access to Services: Mental Health in Catastrophes and Emergencies.”
The resource persons were Dr. Carolin P. D’Souza and Dr. Dhananjay H. Bhat ,who delivered insightful presentations on “Youth Mental Health” and “Concept of Counseling in Clinical Practice.”
The program was graced by Dr. Sajith Mangalsheri, Principal, KAMC, Dr. Ajith Kamath, Vice Principal, KAMC, and Dr. Waheeda Banu, Professor and Head, Department of PG Studies in Kayachikitsa.
Dr.Waheeda Banu had delivered welcome Address.
The Master of Ceremony done by Dr. Santoshini, Assistant Professor and the Vote of Thanks was delivered by Dr. Sahana, Associate Professor, KAMC, Mangalore
This awareness program proved to be highly beneficial for all the internees, postgraduate scholars, and final-year undergraduate students, enhancing their understanding of mental health and its holistic management.
