The seventh day of the Internship Orientation Program “Shishiksha 2025” began with an interactive and informative session by Dr. Gopika Raj, Assistant Professor, Department of Prasuti Tantra and Stri Roga, who discussed NTET and NEXT national examinations, offering valuable insights and guidance on preparation strategies for upcoming competitive exams.
The second session was conducted by Dr. Ravindra Bhat, Professor, Department of Postgraduate Studies in Kayachikitsa, who delivered an inspiring lecture on Counselling, Communication, and Leadership Skills. He emphasized the importance of effective communication, empathy, and leadership qualities in clinical practice.
The third session was handled by Dr. G. Shwetha Prabhu, Assistant Professor, Department of Rasashastra and Bhaishajya Kalpana, who explained pharmacy principles, dosage calculation, and drug formulation techniques, enriching the interns’ understanding of pharmaceutical applications in Ayurveda.
The fourth session was conducted by Dr. Srijaya V. Prabhu, Associate Professor, Department of Dravyaguna Vijnana, on the topic Pharmacovigilance. She highlighted the importance of drug safety monitoring, adverse drug reaction reporting, and ethical prescribing.
The fifth session was delivered by Dr. P. Subramanya, who gave an informative talk on Laboratory Investigations, focusing on the interpretation of diagnostic reports and the role of laboratory support in clinical decision-making.
The afternoon session was conducted by Dr. Waheeda Banu, Professor and Head, Department of Postgraduate Studies in Kayachikitsa, on Scientific Presentation Skills. She provided practical tips on effective presentation techniques, research communication, and academic professionalism.
This was followed by a Post-Test conducted by Dr. Swati Suvarna, Intern Coordinator, to assess the knowledge gained and key takeaways from the week-long orientation program.
The day concluded with a Valedictory Function presided over by Dr. Ajith Kamath, Vice Principal, who addressed the interns and appreciated their enthusiastic participation throughout the program. The event was graced by faculty members from various departments who shared their best wishes and encouragement with the interns. Interns also expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the management, principal, and teaching faculty for organizing such an enriching and well-structured orientation program.
Interns participated enthusiastically throughout the day, gaining valuable insights from each session. The program concluded successfully, leaving the participants more skilled, confident, and motivated to embark on their professional journey.
