The Department of Post Graduate studies in Kayachikitsa, Karnataka Ayurveda Medical College Hospital, Hoigebail, Ashoknagar, Mangalore, organized a Free Medical Camp on Urinary Tract Infection on 23rd April, 2026.
Mr. U. K. Khalid, Administrative Officer, SCS Group of Institutions; Dr. Uday D. K, Medical Superintendent, KAMCH; Dr. Veena Vinayak, Medical Director, KAMCH; Dr. Vijayalakshmi R., Deputy Medical Superintendent, KAMCH; Dr. Waheeda Banu, Professor and Head, Department of Kayachikitsa, KAMC; and Dr. Ravindra Bhat, Professor, Department of Kayachikitsa, KAMC were the dignitaries present at the inaugural event.
Mr. U. K. Khalid inaugurated the camp and addressed the gathering about the management of Urinary Tract Infection through Ayurveda medicines while congratulating the department for organizing the event.
All the dignitaries at the event took part in the lighting of the lamp.
Brief introduction about the programme was delivered by Dr. Sahana M., Associate Professor, Department of Kayachikitsa, regarding screening, consultation and creating awareness on Urinary Tract Infection along with its Ayurveda management.
Other consultants, PG scholars, interns and hospital staff were present at the event. Faculty members actively examined patients and provided advice on diet, lifestyle and medication. Free Ayurveda medicines were distributed and free lab investigations were available to the beneficiaries.
The welcome address was delivered by Dr. Savitha Purushotham, Assistant Professor Department of Kayachikitsa. Vote of thanks was delivered by Dr Krithi N. K., Assistant professor, Department of Kayachikitsa. The moderator was Dr. Anitha S., Associate Professor, Department of Kayachikitsa.
Prayer was sung by Ms. Sanjana, Intern.
The programme received good response from the community and concluded successfully with valuable participation from patients, faculty and students.
