International women’s day 2026
On 14th March 2026,
Department of Prasuti tantra and Streeroga of Karnataka Ayurveda Medical College & Hospital, Ashoknagar, Mangalore conducted a guest lecture on “Practical approaches towards the management of Gynecological disorders”. The session was led by Dr. Asha Parvathi V, Professor and HOD Department of Prasuti tantra and Streeroga of Yenepoya Ayurveda Medical College & Hospital Mangaluru. In the session Dr. Asha Parvathi V spoke about various gynaecological conditions like PCOS, Infertility, Uterine Fibroid and Endometriosis and its ayurvedic approaches. She also shared her experiences in handling different gynaecological cases along with case reports. The session benefitted all the students and staff of Karnataka Ayurveda Medical College & Hospital.
The program was inaugurated by Dr Swapna Bhat Principal incharge, HOD department of Dravya guna.
HOD Dr Asha K Department of Prasuti tantra and Streeroga , Professor Dr.Vani Department of Prasuti tantra and Streeroga, Dr Raksha S Assistant professor Department of Prasuti tantra and Streeroga and Dr. Gopika Raj Assistant professor Department of Prasuti tantra and Streeroga, Karnataka Ayurveda Medical College Hospital were present at the event. Certificate and momento were presented to our honourable Chief guest Dr Asha Parvathi V at the end of the session.
Welcome speech was done by Dr. Vani, vote of thanks by Dr. Gopika Raj and Fathima Nuseba 3rd year student was the M.C. for the event.
The session was insightful and beneficial providing valuable perspectives on Ayurvedic management of different gynaecological conditions.
