World Environment day and 11th International Yoga day “Harith Yoga“

On the occasion of World Environment day and 11th International Yoga day “Harith Yoga“ programme was organised by AYUSH department in Association with Karnataka Ayurveda Medical College, Ashok nagar, Mangaluru ( Dept of PG studies in Dravyaguna Vijnana, Dept of Swasthavritta and NSS Unit) on 05-06-2025 at Indira Priyadarshini Park, Hathill, Mangalore

 The programme was inaugurated with lighting the lamp by esteemed guests Dr. Mohd. Iqbal, District AYUSH officer, Dakshina Kannada, Dr. Prakash Sharma, Ex- Additional DC, Mangaluru, Dr. Swapna Bhat, Principal In charge, Prof and Head, Dept of PG studies in Dravyaguna Vijnana, KAMC, Mangaluru, Dr. Jacintha Meena D’Souza, Vice Principal, NSS Co-ordinator PO, Prof and Head, Dept of Rachana Shareera, KAMC, Mangaluru, Dr Sahana Panduranga, MO, Taluk AYUSH Unit, Ullal, Mangaluru, Dr. Nandeesh, Principal, Sharada Yoga and Naturopathy Medical College and Hospital, Talapady, Mangaluru.

NSS volunteers actively participated to create awareness about the theme among the community by demonstrating Yogasana under the guidance of Dr. Roopa Kudva, Yoga instructor, Dept of Swasthavritta and performed Skit-role play under the guidance of Dr. Sukanya, Dept of Swasthavritta.

On the occasion of World Environment Day, Department of PG studies in Dravyaguna Vijnana in co-ordination with NSS team organised Planting of samplings and  Shramadhan in the premises of Indira Priyadarshini Park, Hathill, Mangaluru.

Dr. Shruthi N Bhat, Assistant NSS Co-ordinator PO, KAMC, Mangaluru, Teaching faculties of KAMC, Mangaluru from Department of Dravyaguna Vijnana Dr. Srijaya V. Prabhu and Dr. Niyathi, Department of Swasthavritta Dr. Roopa Kudva and Dr. Navaneetha were present during the event.

Master of ceremony was done by Dr. Hemavani, District AYUSH Medical Officer, Hathill, Mangaluru and Dr. Shubhasri B., Associate Professor, Dept of Swasthavritta, KAMC Mangaluru, delivered the Vote of thanks.
