Educational visit of the Second Year by department of Swasthavritta to Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) Milk Plant.

As a part of the Second Year Swasthavritta curriculum, a visit to a milk processing plant was organized as a mandatory educational activity. Accordingly, the students of Second Year BAMS visited the Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) Milk Plant at Kulashekhar, Mangalore, on 5th June 2026.
The visit provided valuable practical exposure to large-scale dairy operations and enabled students to understand various aspects of milk procurement, processing, packaging, storage, and distribution. The students also gained insight into the importance of maintaining hygiene standards, quality control measures, and efficient management practices in the dairy industry.
Dr. Shubhasri B, Dr. Sukanya V. P., and Dr. Navaneetha R., who accompanied the students throughout the program and facilitated their learning experience.
The educational visit proved to be highly informative and beneficial, enhancing the students’ understanding of food hygiene.
